Danville finished 3-1 in the Boyle County Invitational with shutout wins over Breckinridge County and Pulaski County Saturday at Troy Trumbo Field.
The Lady Admirals (18-15) would have advanced from their four-team pool into the championship bracket, but they withdrew to avoid the risk of going over the maximum 30 games they are allowed under KHSAA rules.
Chelsea Wallace struck out 12 batters and walked only one in their 7-0 win over Breckinridge, and the Danville offense supported her with 14 hits.
Jerrica Potts led the way with three singles and three RBIs. Renee Chiu, Kelly Embree, Morgan Young and Liz Ruth had two hits each, and Monica Vonderbrink, Courtney Frye and Wallace had one each. Young had two RBIs, and Frye drove in one run.
