Frances Johnson

Frances Johnson, 76, of Shelby Street, Junction City, died today at Hospice of the Bluegrass Care Center in Lexington. Arrangements are incomplete at Stith Funeral Home.

Lucy Adams

STANFORD - Lucy Adams, daughter of William and Heidi Adams of Stanford, was stillborn Saturday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Other survivors include two sisters, Samantha and Sarah Adams, both at home; maternal grandparents, Garland and Jean Adams of Stanford; and great-grandparents, Rose and Charlie Burton of Stanford.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hustonville Cemetery by Dale Denton.

Fox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Alma G. Denison

WAYNESBURG - Alma Greer Denison, 80, of Lexington, formerly of Kings Mountain, died Sunday at St. Joseph Hospital.

Born Sept. 24, 1923, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Georgia Jones Slone. She was a retired employee of Palm Beach Co. in Lexington and a member of Teamsters Local 651 and Pond Baptist Church in Kings Mountain.


Survivors include three sons, Dennis Greer of Somerset, Dwayne Greer of Stanford and Jackie Greer of Richmond; three daughters, Frances Thompson of Nicholasville, Paulette Kilby of Danville and Claudette Switzer of Lexington; a sister, Carma Cline; 23 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny and Howard Greer.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pond Baptist Church by the Rev. Wayne B. Smith. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials may go to Pond Baptist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington 40504.

Zolema H. Fain

HARRODSBURG - Zolema H. Fain, 82, of Elmwood Drive, died Monday at her home.

Born April 7, 1922, in Harlan County, she was the daughter of the late Eli and Martha Jane Long Howard. She was a graduate of Loyall High School and Bissell Business College in Harlan. She was a homemaker and a member of Order of the Eastern Star and Hopewell Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday school class.

Survivors include a daughter, Trula Arnett of Mercer County; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Mortuary in Harlan. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery, Harlan.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Eastern Star services at 7 p.m., and noon until time of service Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Mortuary.


Sue Eubank

Services for Sue Eubank, 73, of Lexington, formerly of Apache Trail, Danville, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Scott Vifquain. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Finzel, Cory Jordan, Joe and Johnny Eubank, Dale Robins and Danny Arroyo.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to the Alzheimer's Association.

Lillian W. Furr

Services for Lillian Verniece Watkins Furr, 88, of Timothy Avenue, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Friday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Doughty, Jerry Schurr, Christopher Potts, W.H. "Buddy" Furr, Gary Singleton and Darrell Terry.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home.

Sue C. Mason

A memorial service for Sue Carol Mason, 57, of Chesapeake, Ohio, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Edwin Findley.

She died May 8 at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center in Sevierville, Tenn.

Born Aug. 26, 1946, in Danville, she was the daughter of Melvin L. "Jake" Holmes of Danville and the late Virginia Holmes.

Other survivors include a daughter, Lee Ann Healey of Camarillo, Calif.; a son, Reece Davis of Danville; a sister, Diane Reynolds of Danville; three brothers, Richard Holmes of Lawrenceburg, Melvin Curtis Holmes of Danville and Mark Holmes of Lincoln County; her companion, Bob Thomas of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren.

Jewell A. Sims

Services for Jewell A. Sims, 85, of Alum Springs, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Alum Springs Church of God by the Rev. Keith Willoughby. Burial will be in Corinth Church of God Cemetery.

She died Sunday at Central Baptist Hospital.

Born May 20, 1918, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Ellen Bolin Frederick. She was a homemaker and a member of Alum Springs Church of God and its women's group. She also was active with Boyle County Senior Citizens and was the widow of Louis Sims.

Survivors include a daughter, Irma Buckingham; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Frederick.

Pallbearers will be Don Ramey, Buck Taylor, Junior and Lloyd Shoemaker, Ira Pendygraft and Ronnie Belcher.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Raymond Napier

LANCASTER - Services for Raymond Napier, 76, of Harmons Lick, were today at Spurlin Funeral Home by James Tyra. Burial was in Napier Cemetery.

He died Saturday at Berea Community Hospital.

Pallbearers were Bud, James and Joe Napier, Jeremy Lamb and Anthony Saylor.

CRAB ORCHARD - Services for Karen Lynn Farris Rodgers, 44, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., will be 2 p.m. today at Ottawa Baptist Church by Dan Gutenson and Jim Craig. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

She died Saturday in Lexington.

Pallbearers will be Ron Schamberger, Mike and Merle Miracle, Scott Wudtke, Kyle Gjuraj and George Jesse.
