Man arrested on radio charge

HARRODSBURG - Jordan Lay was arrested by Harrodsburg police early Sunday morning and charged with possession of a radio that sends and receives police messages.

Police said they stopped a vehicle driven by Lay on North Magnolia Street for suspicious activity. Lay gave officers consent to search his vehicle, and during the search they found a two-way radio with a loud speaker and a scanner, according to police.

Juveniles arrested on theft charges

HARRODSBURG - City police charged two male juveniles, ages 14 and 16, with theft by unlawful taking of less than $300 and receiving stolen property valued at less than $300.


The pair were apprehended about 6 p.m. at the community center at the intersection of Mooreland Avenue and Chiles Street after they allegedly took a bicycle about 4:30 p.m. They were later released to their parents.

Vehicle reported damaged

HARRODSBURG - Krystal Clay, 19, of 218 Adela Drive, reported to city police that someone took a small doll and put it on the trunk lid of her 1990 Nissan Stanza and set the doll on fire, causing damage to the trunk lid.

A front windshield wiper also was broken off. Officer Granville Peyton is the investigating officer. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Harrodsburg Police Department at (859) 734-3311.
