Have a yen for yard sales?

It's four days, 400 miles, and hundreds of antiques, yard sales, craft booths and special events at the "Antiques, Collectibles and Stuff" event.

The sale runs east to west in the commonwealth, along historic Ky. 68/80, from Paducah to Maysville. Included are 25 counties and more than 60 communities that will contribute to the event.

In central Kentucky, vendors will be set up in Perryville, Danville and Harrodsburg. Perryville resident Fox Hutt, owner of Lacetree Weaving and a member visual arts group Gathering Artists, said she knows groups of fine craftspeople and visual artists who will be set up both in Perryville and Harrodsburg. Itchy Dog Antiques and Elmwood Inn, both in Perryville, are participating, she added. A Gathering Artists Arts and Crafts Show will be held Saturday and June 6 in the Perryville Community Center.

"We are hoping this might bring in some more activity into Perryville," Hutt explained. "Perryville has such potential. We would like to see more things happening there."

In Lebanon and Harrodsburg, she said, locations will be set where people can camp. Additionally, the Danville Art Guild was going to be located across the street from Old Fort Harrod State Park on the Saturday of the event, Hutt noted.

"As far as I know, this event is focused on arts and crafts," she said. "I feel like every opportunity we can put our work out so people can see it is a good idea. I'd like for it (to gain) the popularity of the (U.S.) 127 yard sale."

Additionally, Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill in Mercer County will feature more than 70 prominent dealers from across the country who will be offering for sale authentic antiques.

Mercer County booth locations include Ward's Landing, located on Ky. 68 at the Kentucky River, and Old Fort Harrod State Park, located at the corner of Ky. 68 and U.S. 127.
