New Beginnings! is canceling Sunday morning service from June 6 through Aug. 8. During that time, Sunday service will be at 6 p.m. Evening services will not follow the traditional order of worship. It will consist of music, prayer, teaching, meals, fellowship and family activities.

St. James AME Church - June 12-13 for Men's Day. The church will hold a barbecue at 3 p.m. June 12 and gospel music at 6 p.m. A luncheon will follow the morning service June 13. The Rev. John Lee of Greater Liberty Baptist Church in Lexington will speak at 3:30 p.m.


Oak Hill Baptist Church, Somerset - Jerry Falwell, one of America's leading conservative voices, will be the keynote speaker at 7 p.m. Monday. Joining Falwell will be Charles Billingsley, Falwell's worship leader and recording artist. Billingsley will provide the music. Greater Harvest Worship Center Family - 7 p.m. June 19, "100 Women in White; 100 Men in Black" service. Women wear white and men wear black. Elder Larry Weathers Jr., evangelist, conference speaker, and pastor of the Empowerment Worship Center in Lexington, will be the guest speaker. Barbara Pinkston will sing.
