I was at the Louisville airport last Friday when I met a lady waiting for her son to come home from Korea. While I was waiting she told me that he had been in Korea for nine months and he would be home for 15 days and after some training he was being sent to Iraq.
My comment is this. Whether the war in Iraq is right or wrong, we as a country have to band together for these men and women who are leaving the comforts of home to protect the freedoms that we have. I was so very proud to have met this young gentleman.
My sincere thanks go to all members of the Armed Forces. My prayers go out to all the family members of these soldiers, as they do not know what tomorrow brings. Instead of the constant barrage of negativity from people for or against the war, I ask you to please stop and think of our soldiers and say a prayer for each and every one of them, no matter where they may be stationed. Our freedoms depend on them.
