The Boyle County High School Envirothon team of Josh Qualls, Rachel Stamper and Talha Ijaz placed second in regional competition April 17 at Kentucky State University. The Envirothon is a high school competition based on environmental issues covering water, soils, forestry, fish and wildlife, and a current issue of interest.
Bryan Kreiter and Amanda Dunn joined the team for the state competition. The team along with coach Jamie Hester went to Jabez on May 17-18 and placed sixth in the state. The Boyle County Conservation District sponsors the Envirothon team each year.
