LANCASTER - A drive to slow NASCAR wannabes on Price Court hit a speed bump at Monday night's meeting of the Lancaster City Council.
Nearly every resident - and a number of people who don't live on the dead-end street off Richmond Road - had signed a petition seeking speed bumps on Price Court. Although the speed limit is 15 mph, residents have complained of speeders on the narrow street.
Mayor Billy Moss acknowledged that "everybody out there wants it," but said he was reluctant, in part because he has opposed them in the past.
"I have no problem on this particular street," he said. "The only problem is that it could open up a can of worms."
