Man acquitted on attempted murder charge
LIBERTY— George D. Garrett, 44, of 9061 S. U.S. 127, was found innocent of attempted murder and second-degree assault during a trial Thursday in Casey Circuit Court, court records show.
Garrett was accused of firing a .22-caliber pistol at Craig Price in November and damaging the radiator and grill of Price’s car.
However, Garrett was found guilty of second-degree criminal mischief for causing Price’s foot to be caught in the door of a vehicle, then slamming the door. He was fined $500 plus court costs and ordered to pay Price $787 in restitution.
