Artists at Antique and Garden Show

A number of artists will show during the Danville Antique and Garden Show this weekend. Local artists include: Paul Muth, Wayne Daugherty, Fox Hutt, Marlene Hanna, Mary Ruth Maggard, Lori Goggans, Geri Trinler and Virginia Robertson.

Today through Sunday several of the artists will be in front of the entrance to the Combs Center. Paul Muth will demonstrate his pottery techniques.

Several artists will remain on the third floor of the Combs Center during the Antique and Garden Show. Admission to the Antique and Garden Show is $5 for the entire weekend.


No quorum

JUNCTION CITY - The City Council had to cancel its meeting Thursday because there was no quorum. Councilmembers Connie Vernon, Donnie Goode and Roberta Zeller were there. It takes four to hold a meeting.

The council had planned to talk about the budget. Mayor G.G. Harmon said a meeting will be set at a later date. The budget year ends June 30.


Garrard County Fiscal Court - 7 p.m. Monday at the courthouse. The agenda is as follows: approve last month's court minutes; approve May bills to be paid; approve transfers; monthly financial statement; second reading and adoption of county budget; approve Kentucky Association of Counties Insurance; approve Kentucky Advanced Revenue Program resolution; approve dog license and kennel license fees; appoint Dr. John Balanger to Paint Lick Fire Board; appoint Joe Barker to solid waste board; appoint Ray Prater to solid waste board; open ambulance billing bids; executive session on personnel.
