Kohler honored by Northpoint

Chuck Kohler of Danville has been selected Employee of the Month for June at Northpoint Training Center.

Kohler began his employment at Northpoint in 1996 as a correctional officer. He was promoted to classification and treatment officer later that year.

Kohler was selected Employee of the Month based on outstanding job performance. He will receive a letter of commendation and will be assigned a reserved parking space for the month. In addition, his name will be added to the Employee of the Month plaque.

Taylor honored by Boyle Detention Center

Deputy Shawn Taylor has been named May Employee of the Month at the Boyle County Detention Center.

Taylor has been employed at the detention center since June 2002.

"Deputy Taylor works well with others and is always willing to help others learn their job," said Boyle County Jailer Barry M. Harmon. "He is very dedicated to his work. The detention center is very fortunate in having him as an employee."


Cashland opens store in Danville

Cashland Financial Service Inc., operator of nearly 150 retail cash advance and check-cashing stores in Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan, recently opened a new, full-service unit at 1019 Hustonville Road, next to Collier's Carpet, in Danville.

"We are eager to introduce Cashland to the Danville community," said Shelly Drakeford, store manager. "As people come to know us they will discover how Cashland's special emphasis on service makes such a big difference with customers."

Michelle McCullough is employed as a teller at the store, whose services also include money orders and Western Union money transfers.
