The smash and spew of beer cans drew a crowd Tuesday afternoon at the Casey County Road Department parking lot where the booze was destroyed.
Casey Sheriff Jerry Coffman decided Tuesday afternoon it was time to get rid of some beer that was confiscated during past arrests. "We've had it awhile," said Coffman, and "decided to destroy it after the cases were disposed."
Coffman, Deputy Freeman Luttrell, and Justin Smith, who works with probation and parole, took more than 20 cases of beer to the county road department parking lot.
"Pull on down there in the gravel," said Mike Giles, who works for the county. "The last time you put it here (close to the recycling center), it smelled bad a long time."
