Elbert Vance

LIBERTY - Elbert Vance, 86, of Yosemite, died Sunday at Fort Logan Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Bartle Funeral Home.

Carl E. Harlow

LIBERTY - Carl Emerson Harlow, 60, of Franklin, Ind., died Thursday in Indiana.

Born Jan. 8, 1944, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Silbert and Hazel Emerson Harlow. He was an employee of David R. Webb Co. in Indiana.

Survivors include two uncles, John and Clifford Emerson; and three aunts, Eva Mason, Flosteen Norths and Mildred Randolph.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Jeff Edwards. Burial will be in Grave Hill Cemetery, Mintonville.



Nicholas Edwards

Services for Nicholas Stephen "Nick" Edwards, 15, of West Lexington Avenue, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church by the Revs. Doug. Wesley, Harold Best and Linh Nguyen. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery.

He died Friday at his home.

Additional survivors include his girlfriend, Holly Hogue of Danville.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Young, Madison Edwards, Jason Gersham, Will Hignight Jr., Alex Gorley, Jerry Hogue, Claren Mainnard Jr. and Frank Rigsby.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to the Danville-Boyle County Skateboard Park.

Darvin E. Sims

MORELAND - Services for Darvin Eugene Sims, 47, of Norwood, Ohio, will be noon Tuesday at New Salem Baptist Church by the Rev. Matthew Jones. Burial will be in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

He died Thursday at his home.

Born Jan. 3, 1957, in Lincoln County, he was a son of Betty Chaney Edwards of Norwood and the late James V. Sims.

Other survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Sims of Stanford and Angela Spears of Somerset; a brother, Donald K. Sims of Norwood; three half brothers, Jimmy and Richard Sims, both of Stanford, and Ricky Sims of Ohio; a sister, Debbie J. Durham of Moscow, Ohio; three half sisters, Becky Sims of Stanford, Sandy Edwards of Dear Park, Ohio, and Theresa Achtens of Birmingham, Mich.

Pallbearers will be Curt Durham, Pepi Orvino, Richard and Jimmy Sims, J.W. and Larry Walls.

Visitation is 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the church.

W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Arnold R. King

MORELAND - Services for Arnold Ray King, 68, of Junction City, will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles C. Miller. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery in Junction City.

He died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.
