'Animals from around the world' presentation Wednesday

There will be a presentation of "Animals from around the world" by the Nature History Education Company at 11 a.m.-noon Wednesday in the Constitution Square picnic area. This event is entertaining, educational, and unique for all ages. For more information, call 239-7089.

Yard, bake sale to benefit Children's Miracle Network

There will be a big yard sale and bake sale to benefit the Children's Miracle Network starting at 8 a.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart. Bring your own table. Sign up at the service desk. For more information, contact Peggy Rice at Wal-Mart.

Boyle paramedics attend training course at EMRMC

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center recently concluded a training course to help paramedics learn skills to provide a higher level of care. The Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Provider Course was provided on four consecutive weeks, meeting three days each week, and was attended by 25 participants from seven counties in central and western Kentucky.


Participants represented both flight paramedics and ground transport paramedics. Paramedics from Boyle County EMS who attended the course were Brad Ellis, Malcolm Miller, Aaron Stamper, Allen Bottoms, Brandon Jenkins, Jamie Keebortz, Carla Dick, Kevin Carpenter and Matt Johnson.

The course was funded through the Ephraim McDowell Health Care Foundation and the Good Samaritan Foundation.


Junction City Council - 7 p.m. Thursday at City Hall to discuss budget, and hold an executive session on property acquisition and personnel.

Bate Middle School Council - 3:15 p.m. today for a special meeting. The council will be meeting in closed session to continue the principal selection process.

Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County Board - 7 p.m. June 29 at the McClure-Barbee House.

Casey Fiscal Court - 5 p.m. June 30 for a special meeting to close out the year in the circuit courtroom in the courthouse. The regualr meeting scheduled for Monday was canceled.

Railroad Days Committee - 6:30 p.m. today at the Junction City Community Park.
