The Boyle County Sheriff's Department has discovered and eradicated approximately 50 young marijuana plants.
"We cut 35 off of a farm off Water Works Road," said Deputy Sheriff Marty Elliott. Fifteen more plants were found near U.S. 150 West outside Perryville. Elliott estimated the combined discoveries to be worth $50,000 if allowed to mature.
Both finds, now under investigation, were found Tuesday after a tip from citizens. Anyone with information on marijuana or any other crimes may call the sheriff's department at (859) 238-1123.
