Elizabeth Cooper

STANFORD - Elizabeth Cooper, 80, of Lincoln County, died Tuesday. She was the widow of Benton Cooper. Arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Doretta A. Holden

LIBERTY - Doretta Ann Holden, 45, of Calvary Ridge Road, died Sunday at her home.

Born Aug. 29, 1958, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of Millard Spaw of Somerset and the late June Jasper Spaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffery Holden; three daughters, Jessica Havowski and Mallory Holden, both of Cincinnati, and Rachel Herrlinger of Yosemite; a son, Lucas Holden of Cincinnati; a sister, Rhonda Boncutter of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren


Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Gale Durham.

Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Willie K. Trumbo

LANCASTER - Willie Katherine Trumbo, 67, of Lancaster, died today at Fort Logan Hospital. She was the wife of William Trumbo. Arrangements are incomplete at Ramsey Funeral Home.


Katherine Green

PERRYVILLE - Services for Katherine Pelley Wheeler Green, 74, of Gravel Switch, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wilder Funeral Home by the Revs. Robert Shockley, Mike Wright and Jerry Lanham. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

She died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Feb. 24,1930, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Lillie Crain Pelley. She was the widow of Joseph Wheeler and William J. Green. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Joe Wheeler of Perryville and Stephen Wheeler of Winchester; a stepdaughter, Betty Jo Stein of Louisville; two grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jim Brown, Chuckie Hallmark, Bill Ken Noble, Paul Tomlin, Herb Stein and Herbert Dearinger.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Ervin Buis

SCIENCE HILL - Services for Ervin Buis, 88, of Eubank, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Eubank Church of Christ by Ferlin Price. Burial will be in Rich Hill Cemetery.

He died Monday at his home.

Born June 26, 1915, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Jason and Pearlie Tarter Buis. He was an exporter of walnut veneer timber and was co-founder in the 1950's of WTLO radio station. He was an elder of Eubank Church of Christ for 40 years and had been a commissioner on Eubank City Council for 30 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Abel Buis; two daughters, Bonnie Taylor of Waynesburg and Sandy Wilson of Science Hill; a son, Bernal Buis of Eubank; two sisters, Geretha Elmore of Kings Mountain and Maurine Matthews of Liberty; a brother, Berlin Buis of Liberty; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Lloyd H. East

LANCASTER - Services for Lloyd H. East, 76, of Lexington Road, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hebron Baptist Church by Steve Meece and Sam Arnold. Burial will be in Mount Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

He died Monday at his home.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd, Dexter, David, Stuart, John, Aaron, Matthew and Eric East. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas, Kerry, Patrick and Ben Brogle, Danny Ayres and Tim Crawford.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the church.
