Emma C. Van

Emma Jean Crockett Van, 88, of West Broadway, died Sunday at Royal Manor Nursing Home in Nicholasville.

Born July 3, 1915, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Minnie Bowden Crockett. She was a homemaker and registered nurse, and a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Clarence E. Van.

Survivors include a son, Samuel D. Van of Harrodsburg; a brother, Paul Crockett of Miami, Okla.; two sisters, Marjorie Roberts of Miami, Okla., and Pat Norris of Fairland, Okla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Danville Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.

Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret A. Brown

MORELAND - Margaret Ann Brown, 67, of Moreland, died Saturday at her home.

Born Sept. 13, 1936, in Bullett County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Hale Cook. She was a homemaker.


Survivors include two sons, Russell Brown and Steve Brown, both of McKinney; two daughters, Tammy Morgan of Moreland and Mary Ann Brown of McKinney; two brothers, Lester and Chester Cook, both of Stanford; two sisters, Dorothy Atwood of Moreland and Helen Reed of Stanford; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Brown.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Mike Yocum and Gary Yocum. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris and Charles Adams, Lonnie Brown, Gary Young, Randy Maybrier, Bobby Brown, Tommy Tillett and Bruce Brown Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Mark and Jennifer Brown, Johnathan and Jessica Morgan and Stephanie Adams.

Visitation is after 5 p.m. today.

Dorothy I. Caudill

STANFORD - Dorothy Ivodene Caudill, 76, of Greenbriar Road, died today at Fort Logan Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Wendell Francis

HARRODSBURG - Wendell "Rickey" Francis, 56, Of West Office Street, died Sunday at his home.

Born Dec. 2, 1947, in Magoffin County, he was the son of Herman Francis of Salyersville and the late Virgie Francis, and his natural parents, Jewell Francis and Junior Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Gullett Francis of Harrodsburg; a daughter, Krystal Francis of Harrodsburg, five sisters, Brenda Daniels of Paintsville, Linda Brown of Mount Vernon, Mary Anne Williams of Gainesville, Fla., Donna Dees of Mount Vernon and Carol Bowman of Berea; three brothers, William Francis of Salyersville, David Brown of Dayton, Ohio., and Darrell Brown of Chillicothe, Ohio.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Jack Guerin. Burial will be in Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 7 a.m. Wednesday.

John H. Huston

MORELAND - John Henry Huston, 80, of Wyandotte, Mich., died Friday at his home.

Born Aug. 17, 1923, in Brandon, Colo., he was a World War II Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Huston; a daughter, Carol Ruth; a sister, Dorothy Sutton; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Double Springs Cemetery.

Lawrence Yocum

STANFORD - Lawrence Yocum, 54, of Hustonville, died today at his home. Arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home.


Bob Rheingans

A memorial service for Robert William Rheingans, 65, of Sterling Drive, will be 7 p.m. today at First Christian Church by the Rev. Kristina Stuckel.

He died Friday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Memorials may go to First Christian Church youth group.

John H. Poynter

LANCASTER - Services for John Harmon Poynter, 89, of Old Danville Road, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Brasseaux. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

He died Friday at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Rhodus, Michael Poynter, Vernon Lamb, Shannon Poynter, Rob Naylor and Diania Henderson. Honorary pallbearers are David, Harold and Gary Feldman, Harrison and Billy Boyd, Tub and Earl Poynter.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home.
