After reading Mr. Brock's column in Monday's edition about too many agencies that promote Boyle county, I realized that he made a mistake. Should it not have been too many agencies for Danville-Boyle County? What must the city fathers think about anyone who would refer to anything as just Boyle County?
I have often wondered if the people out in the county feel like second-class citizens when they hear the term Danville-Boyle County this and that. I believe most other counties refer to their agencies as just the county name.
If, as he suggests, Boyle County were put in with a group of other counties, for instance, Lincoln, Garrard and Mercer, would it be called the Danville, Lincoln, Mercer, Garrard, Boyle County Fair?
