Garrard man seriously hurt in Boyle crash
A Garrard County man suffered serious injuries Tuesday when he crashed his car into a guardrail along U.S. 127 near Stewart's Lane, Danville police said.
Jacob M. Young, 21, of 596 New Haven Road, Lancaster, was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center after suffering head injuries in the crash, a Danville police report stated. The crash forced Young into the rear passenger's seat of the 1999 Ford Mustang he was driving, and he had to be extricated by emergency workers, the report said.
According to police, Young's car veered off the road, struck a guardrail and then came back on the highway. He overcorrected and crashed into the guardrail a second time.
