The Danville-Boyle County 11- and 12-year-old all-stars defeated Lincoln County 4-1 Wednesday in the district baseball tournament at Lexington.
Garrick Whittle earned the complete game win, striking out eight and giving up just three hits and one walk.
"He struggled in our first game, but he relaxed and was around the plate all night," coach Glynn Perry said.
Whittle also had two hits for the all-stars, who also got one hit each from Ben Carman, Rees McShara and Corey Gardner.
Danville-Boyle plays again Friday at 7 p.m. against Richmond American.
