Margaret E. Overstreet

Margaret Egger Overstreet, 80, of White Oak Road, Junction City, died Thursday at her son's home in Danville.

Born June 18, 1924, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Graf Egger. She was a retired employee of Servomation and a member of Mount Freeman Baptist Church. She was the widow of J.C. Overstreet III.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Overstreet of Junction City, John C. Overstreet of Chadron, Neb., and Dr. David Overstreet of Danville; two sisters, Marie Jackson of Shelbyville and Freida Fields of Jenkins; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral by the Rev. Barry Harmon. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to Mount Freeman Baptist Church.

Frances C. Cecil

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. - Edna Frances Cocanougher Cecil, 88, formerly of Danville, died April 2.


Born Oct. 27, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lucy Cocanougher. A graduate of Eastern State University, she was named in "Who's Who in American Colleges." She was active in religious study and church work.

She was the wife of Woodrow Cecil.

Graveside services were held June 25 at Beach Grove Cemetery.

Margaret Cox

PERRYVILLE - Margaret Cox, 83, of Forkland Road, Forkland, died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Beeler Cox. Arrangements are incomplete at Wilder Funeral Home.

Darlene J. Lay

LIBERTY - Darlene J. Lay, 72, of Liberty Manor, died Thursday at her home.

Born Sept. 7, 1931, in Sheldon, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Edna Royce Ropp. She was a retired bookkeeper for Griffin Wesley Ford and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was the widow of Howard Lay.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce Leigh of Somerset, Michael Lay of Hustonville, and Chris Lay of Liberty; three daughters, Dana Lee and Angela Murphy, both of Liberty, and Christina Caron of Liberty Township, Ohio; a brother, Raymond Ropp of Goodland, Ind.; a sister, Ruby Wolf of Tipton, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Ed Parton and John Routh. Burial will be in Thomastown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny and Eddie Lee, Mike and Bryley Murphy, Chris Shoopman, Troy Hafley and Brandon Caron.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday.
