Standing on the corner of First Street and Broadway, Kelsey Godman and Tiffany Linder screamed at the top of their lungs.
Trying to get the attention of people driving in cars and anyone else, Kelsey, 11, and Tiffany, 10, made their best sales pitches on Tuesday, in hopes of selling lemonade to raise money for the Boyle County Humane Society.
With every car that passed, Tiffany called out, "You help us, you help them!"
A volunteer at the Boyle County Humane Society, Kelsey had the idea for selling lemonade as a fundraiser. Her mother, Karen Godman, went on the Internet and found a lemonade stand available for free to kids selling for charities. Tiffany, Kelsey's neighbor, joined up to give her friend a hand.
Kelsey said she hopes to keep selling lemonade as many days as she can this summer, because she wants to help the humane society help more animals.
