LANCASTER - A Garrard County woman is being charged with falsely reporting an incident after police say she twice lied about being raped.
Phyllis Dailey of Lancaster is being sought by police today while Tracy L. Penman, charged earlier this week with first-degree rape and unlawful imprisonment, is being released today.
Penman, 32, was being held earlier this week in the Lincoln County Regional Jail after Dailey told police he broke into her house twice and forced her to have sexual intercourse with him.
"We feel that he didn't," Police Sgt. Willie Skeens said today.
Penman was arrested Monday on Martin Luther King Boulevard, Lancaster.
On Tuesday, Skeens had said Dailey "alleged that on Friday he used a knife and threatened her and family members if she didn't have sexual intercourse with him." Skeens said Dailey told police Penman broke into the residence again on Saturday, locked Dailey in a bedroom and forced her to have intercourse with him while threatening her with a weapon.
