PARKSVILLE - What started as an argument between a husband and wife turned into a standoff Thursday morning on Lebanon Road when the husband threatened police with an iron pipe.
A family member called Boyle County Sheriff's Department and said that Dale Bodner, 46, and his wife were having a heated argument.
Deputy Sheriff Jim Wilcher said that when he arrived at the home Bodner became "extremely upset" and threatened him with a three-foot iron pipe.
"I had to draw my weapon to hold him at bay," Wilcher said.
He called for backup and officers from the Boyle County Sheriff's Department, Kentucky State Police and Junction City Police Department responded. Witnesses saw officers in the yard of the farm home with their guns drawn.
