Ernest Griffith

Ernest Griffith, 53, of McClure Drive, died Saturday at his home.

Born Jan. 21, 1951, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Johnnie and Nannie Mae Griffith.

Survivors include three sons, Kenny, David and Ernie Griffith, all of Danville; a daughter, Donna Terrell of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Abe Griffith of London and Bobby Griffith of Milwaukee; a sister, Mary Martin of Lexington; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Bellevue Cemetery. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Bobby Adington

WAYNESBURG - Bobby Adington, 69, of Somerset Road, Stanford, died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Feb. 16, 1935, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Lonnie and Gertie Taylor Adington, and the husband of Iva Smith Adington. He was a custodian for the Lincoln County school system.


Survivors include two sons, Glenn and Jackie Adington, both of Waynesburg; two daughters, Diane Jeffries of Stanford and Debra Petrey of Richmond; three brothers, Clinton, Darwin and Leo Adington; three sisters, Margie Wilham of Cincinnati, Marcelene Stevens of Eubank, and Marlene Haggard of Waynesburg; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by Don Scilley and Dennis Spencer. Burial will be at Highland Methodist Church.

Pallbearers are Dwight Stevens, Danny Adington, Steven Haggard, Roger Adams, Walter Smith and Marvin Smith.

Ethia J. Bussell

HARRODSBURG - Ethia Jane Shewmaker Bussell, 77, widow of Paul C. Bussell, died Thursday at her home.

Born Feb. 12, 1927, in Mercer County, daughter of the late Fred and Effie Yeast Shewmaker. She was the widow of Paul C. Bussell, a homemaker and a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Delores Jane of Danville; three sisters, Elva Oldham of Harrodsburg, Marcella Burns of Lexington, and Rosella Lawson of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Merlin (Bud) Shewmaker.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Gary Story. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Robert Pike, Cecil Hutchinson, Cordell Brown, Roy Lynn Oldham, Travis Oldham and W.A. Miller.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and after 7 a.m. Tuesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

Keith Casey

HARRODSBURG - Keith Casey, 53, of Mercer Avenue, Harrodsburg, husband of Loretta Devine Casey, died Thursday.

Born Aug. 2, 1950, in Versailles, he was the son of Catherine Proctor Casey of Anderson County and the late Ronald Casey. He was a shipping supervisor at Bay West Paper Co., Harrodsburg, a retired staff analyst for IBM, Inc., and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Loretta Devine Casey; a son, Paul Casey of Mercer County; two brothers, Ronald Eugene Casey of Lawrenceburg and Leroy Casey of Colorado; and two sisters, Drucilla Gritton of Lawrenceburg and Debra Byrd of Georgia.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Harold Best and Randy McPheron. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Wes Huffman, Donald Devine, Larry Catlett, Bobby Royalty, Elmer Presley and Joe Burton.

Visitation will be after 8 a.m. Sunday at the chapel.

Phyllis R. Feldman

BRODHEAD - Phyllis Rae Feldman, 57, of Old Lancaster Road, Stanford, died Thursday at her home.

Born Oct. 21, 1946, she was the daughter of Katha Rena Sims Schnitzler of Danville and the late William M. Schnitzler. She was a dairy farmer and a homemaker.

Other survivors include two sons, Justin M. and Harlan I. Feldman, both of Stanford; two brothers, Roger and William "Bill" Schnitzler, both of Stanford; and a companion, Michael Pavolic of Brodhead.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals by Rick Reynolds. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice in Danville.

Ronald L. Fredrick

HARRODSBURG - Ronald Lee Fredrick, 55, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Harrodsburg, died July 9 at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson.

Born Dec. 24, 1948, in Lexington, he was the son of the late William T. Fredrick and Lucy G. Stone Francis. He was a self-employed laborer.

Survivors include his stepfather, Cecil Francis of Salvisa; two daughters. Sara Jo Fredrick and Jordan Katie Fredrick, both of Glasgow; a brother, William Thomas Fredrick of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Sharon K. Stanfield of Lexington; one stepbrother, Cecil Francis III of Nicholasville; and four stepsisters, Paula Wooton of Mercer County, Terry Francis of Utah, Julie Million of Garrard County, and Jo Ellen Francis of Utah.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Lexington by Terry Morrison. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.

There will be no visitation. The Ransdell Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
