Friends of Casey library to have book sale

LIBERTY - Friends of the Casey County Public Library will hold a book sale in August.

Tom Ellis, president, has asked that if anyone has books, especially children's books, that they are not using, to donate the books to the library. Bring them by the library on Middleburg Street, or call (606) 787-9318 for pickup service.

The three-day book sale date will be announced later.

Lincoln takes bids on bleachers

STANFORD - Lincoln County Board of Education will accept sealed bids for bleacher upgrade at the high school football field. Specifications may be obtained at the Central Office, 305 Danville Ave. Bids will be opened at 2 p.m. Aug. 11 at the office. The board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
