Two file for Junction City Council

Donnie Goode and Judy Carol Reynolds have filed to run for Junction City Council. The race is Nov. 2.

Goode is serving out the term that was left vacant when Melissa Miller moved out of the city limits. He won that seat in a special election.

All five of the council seats will be up for election this year. Terms are two years.

Blood drive set at health department

Boyle County Health Department will hold a community blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at 448 S. Third St. All donors will receive a free T-shirt.

To donate, you must be over 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. Bring a picture I.D.


Due to a reporter's error, the name of Barbara Wilcher Polston was spelled incorrectly in the obituary for Wallace Wilcher that ran on Wednesday.


Emily Anderson, 12, is a contestant in the Miss Pre Teen Boyle County pageant. Her first name was wrong, due to incorrect information supplied to the newspaper, and her picture didn't run on Wednesday's Scrapbook page, due to a reporter's mistake.

Due to incorrect information given to the newspaper, the name of the radio station in the Ashley Fields obituary was wrong in Wednesday's paper. The correct station for memorial contributions is WDFB.
