Ralph G. Jenkins

A memorial service for Ralph G. Jenkins will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wesleyan Church, 140 E. Pleasant St., Morengo, Ind. 47140.

He died July 12 at Hospice of Cincinnati. He was the brother of Louise Hicks of Hustonville.

Services were July 15 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati.

Memorials may go to Wesleyan Church.

Janie Sims

LIBERTY - Janie Sims, 60, of Middleburg, died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her husband, Norman Sims. Arrangements are incomplete at Bartle Funeral Home.

Arlene Leonard

HARRODSBURG - Arlene Leonard, 87, died Monday at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington.

Born April 3, 1917, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Talbert and Laura Meadors Ballard. She was a retired staff worker for the International Ladies Garment Workers' Union and a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She was the flower lady at McDowell Place and was a former caregiver.


Survivors include a son, Dr. Garnett Leonard of North Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Evelyn Taylor of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Frieda Guilfoil and June Talberta Vise, both of Athens; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Robert DeFoor and Terry Morrison officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William, Tommy, Duane and Bradley Guilfoil, Phillip Thompson and Dennis Gibson.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 7 a.m. Saturday.

Nell P. Tamme

Nell Pritchett Tamme, 99, of Danville, died Wednesday at Charleston Health Care Center. Arrangements are incomplete at Stith Funeral Home.

Thomas W. Terry

STANFORD - Thomas Wesley Terry, 51, of U.S. 27 South, Waynesburg, died today at his residence. He was the husband of Paula Terry. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.


James A. Carrier

STANFORD - Services for James Arley Carrier, 57, of Waynesburg, were today at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary King. Burial was in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 22, 1946, in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late James Clayton Carrier and Opal Lee Goens Carrier. He was employed as a warehouseman and served with the Army in the Vietnam war. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Carrier; four sons, James A. Carrier Jr. of Casey County and James C. Carrier, Ronnie D. Carrier, and Jason Carrier, all of Waynesburg; five daughters, Kristina Corr of Science Hill, Pamela S. Sowder of Waynesburg, Bobbie Crew of Casey County, Jennifer E. Carrier and Amanda K. Carrier, both of Waynesburg; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Carrier Jr., James C. and Ronnie D. Carrier, Eddie Sowder, Shannon Crew and Darryl Foster.

Florence H. Edwards

CRAB ORCHARD - Services for Florence Ethel Hicks Edwards, 88, of Crab Orchard, will be 11 a.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home by Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan L. Edwards, Dick LaFevers, Lonnie Pruitt, Ralph Baker, U.S. Saylor and Steve Bullock.

Honorary pallbearers are Delbert Hawkins Sr., Dicky Ledford and Paul Barrett.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.
