Jayden M. Dawson

Jayden Michael Dawson, newborn, of Danville, died Thursday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was the son of Kendall Rumford and Gary Dawson.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Hill Dale Cemetery.

John R. Stagg Sr.

John Robert "Bob" Stagg Sr., 81, of Sunrise Shores, Harrodsburg, died Thursday at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.

Born April 3, 1923, in Danville, he was the son of the late Joseph Overstreet and Charlotte Scott Stagg. He was an Army veteran of WW II, former president of Stagg Lumber Co., and a sales representative for Forest Products/Pacific Lumber Co. He was past president of Danville Country Club and the Lions Club, a charter member of "M" Club and a past board member for the Salvation Army.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Lococo Stagg; a daughter, Lowry Stagg Greenlee of Orinda, Ca.; a son, John R. Stagg Jr. of Danville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Nicholas "Nickie" Stagg.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home.

Memorials may go to the WWII Veterans Memorial or the Alzheimer's Association.

William L. Linton Sr.

LANCASTER - William Lee Linton Sr., 80, of Lancaster died Friday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Rice Linton.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home.
