Woman injured in Mercer wreck

HARRODSBURG - A Somerset woman was injured about 4:20 p.m. Monday when her car collided with another vehicle on U.S. 127 in Mercer County.

State police said Pamela M. Shannon, 40, was traveling south when a vehicle driven by Arthur Bugg, 73, of Harrodsburg pulled across the southbound lanes. Bugg told police he did not see Shannon's vehicle.

Shannon was taken from the scene by Mercer County Emergency Medical Service, but the extent of her injuries were not immediately available. Bugg and Wilma Ard, 52, who was a passenger in Shannon's car, were not injured.


No charges were filed. Trooper Troy Trayner investigated.

Danville police investigating burglaries

Danville police are looking into two recent burglaries.

On July 20, someone forced their way into Bluegrass Appraisal and Research, 215 E. Main St., and took a digital camera.

On July 17 about midnight, someone broke into a house at 410 N. Sixth St. Resident John Cloud told police that a mitre saw, a circular saw and screw gun were taken.

Motorcyclist injured in Casey crash

LIBERTY - A motorcyclist was injured Friday night when his vehicle hit a guard rail on Ky. 910, police said.

Mark Sayers, age and address unavailable, was driving east on a hill when the motorcycle hit the guardrail and went over an embankment, according to a report by Casey County Deputy Sheriff Bob Weddle.

Sayers was taken to the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center for treatment.
