Hogsett plans registration picnic

A registration picnic for kindergarten through fifth-grade students and their parents will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Hogsett Elementary School. The PTO will provide a free barbecue. Parents should gather in the cafeteria to turn in registration packets and fees. Parents who turn in the registration packets and fees at the picnic will not have to come to Registration Day on Aug. 9.

Horse show is Friday in Casey

LIBERTY - The Casey County Horse Show with 34 classes for walking and racking horses will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Central Kentucky Ag/Expo Center on U.S. 127 South. Admission is $5 per person, and children under 6 years old get in free.

Casey Farmers Market opens

LIBERTY - A Farmers Market is open Friday and Saturday at the Central Kentucky Ag/Expo Center on U.S. 127 South. Hours are 10 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday until the produce is sold.



Due to incorrect information submitted to the newspaper, the name of Parksville Knob Independent Baptist Church was wrong in a Vacation Bible School brief on Friday's religion page.

Due to a reporter's error, the following was omitted from the obituary of Nell Pritchett Tamme in Friday's paper: Tamme was a graduate of Danville High School and was the last living member of the Class of 1922. She also attended Notre Dame University.
