My wife and I had an unexpected fun date recently - while we got our oil changed. We went to Valvoline for the first time, having waited fruitlessly elsewhere.
Lisa Nickerson, the customer service representative, came out quickly and helpfully kept us informed about the normal procedures. She and manager Lori Schmitter were apologetic for an unexpected delay and went out of their way to make up for it. Susan and I had a pleasant conversation while we waited, and marvelled at a thoughtful, efficient, and a customer-oriented business.
We were imagining Toby Keith making a song about it as exemplifying what we can do right in this country when we put our minds and hearts to it.
