Two file for Boyle offices

Stephen T. Tamme has filed for the Boyle County Board of Education District 1 seat. Allen Goggin has filed for supervisor of the Soil and Water Conservation District.

The deadline to file for office is Tuesday. The election is Nov. 2.

Casey board nominates two for ag council

LIBERTY - Casey County Extension Council nominated two people Tuesday to serve on the county Ag Development Council. During the special session, Ernest Lynn and Terry Mullins were nominated.

Stanford council filing deadline nears

STANFORD - The deadline to file for a seat on the Stanford City Council is Aug. 10. Those wishing to fill one of the six seats may file at the county clerk's office in the courthouse.


Lodge plans breakfast

LANCASTER - Lancaster Lodge 104 F&AM, 296 Industry Road, will sponsor a ham and egg breakfast from 8-10 a.m. Saturday. Donations will be accepted at the door, and proceeds will be used to support projects of the lodge.

Head Start accepting applications

Voter registration rally planned

Advance America is holding a non-partisan voter registration rally from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Danville Manor shopping center. Anyone 18 or over is encouraged to come register.


Casey County Board of Education - 7 p.m. Monday at the Kentucky Tech Area Vocational Education Center, Ky. 70 East. The agenda includes an update on construction, principal and superintendent reports, discussion of attendance incentives, and consideration of a non-resident pupil application.

Casey County Hospital Board of Trustees - 8 p.m. Tuesday in the hospital conference room.

Liberty City Council - 5 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall.

Garrard County Fiscal Court - 7 p.m. Monday at the courthouse.

Garrard County Board of Education - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Training Center on Crab Orchard Street.

Lincoln County Fiscal Court - 9 a.m. Tuesday at the old Kentucky Utilities building.

Lincoln County Board of Education - 7 p.m. Thursday at the Central Office.

Mercer County Fiscal Court - 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Fiscal Court Building.

Harrodsburg City Commission - 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall.

Boyle-Mercer Joint Jail Committee - 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Mercer County Fiscal Court Building.

McKinney Elementary School Council - 3:30 p.m. Monday at the school, held each second Monday of the month.
