HARRODSBURG - Two people were indicted Monday by a Mercer County grand jury in connection with a May burglary at the home of Doris Houp.
James Anthony Lawson, 38, 1432 Bohon Hopewell Road, and Marsha J. Roy, 35, 469 Tabler Ave., were charged with second-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance. Roy also was charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, a misdemeanor.
The indictment alleges that on May 21, Lawson and Roy unlawfully entered Houp's home, and that they possessed the drug Oxycontin.
Gerald Wooldridge was the grand jury witness.
Another Harrodsburg man was indicted on charges he had unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
Anthony Reese, 38, 462 Lynn Drive, was charged with one count each of unlawful transaction with a minor and third degree sexual abuse, a misdemeanor. The indictment alleges that on Nov. 25, 2001, Reese knowingly induced or assisted a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, and that on Dec. 3, 2001, he had sexual contact with a female without her consent.
