Richard O. Whitehouse

Richard Owen Whitehouse, 69, of Spring Valley Road, died Thursday at his home. He was the husband of Marie Whitehouse. Arrangements are incomplete at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home.

Flora A. Luttrell

LIBERTY - Flora A. Luttrell, 86, of Thomas Ridge Road, died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Oct. 15, 1917, in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Tilford and Hattie Bowmer Wade. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Church of Christ. She was the widow of Oris Luttrell.

Survivors include three daughters, Naomi Bernard of Dunnville and Gay Montgomery and Glenda Luster, both of Louisville; two sons, William C. Luttrell of Dunnville and Gary Luttrell of Liberty; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Aubrey Luttrell.


Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Danny Grider and Gerald Burton. Burial will be in Luttrell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark Johnson, Robin Wesley, Bob Hardin, Jim Tucker, Lloyd Luttrell and Jerry Harris.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.


Robert L. Craig

Services for Robert L. "Bob" Craig, 82, of O'Hara Drive, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

He died Wednesday at his home.

Born April 30, 1931, in Strong, Ark., he was the son of the late John I. and Lennie Brillhart Craig. He was owner of Bob Craig Insurance Agency, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of First Baptist Church, Broadway, where he taught Sunday school. He also was an assistant Scoutmaster and active in Explorer Scouts.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Cecil Craig; a son, Gary Craig of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Sheila Craig Sheehan of Louisville; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice.

Margie M. Richey

Services for Margie M. Richey, 74, of Junction City, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by Gary Story. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

She died Wednesday in Stanford.

Pallbearers will be Tony Newsome, Gary Richey, Robert Stocker, Shane Wren, Brian Shelton, Michael Young and David Votaw.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Craig Mackey and staff, Eric Smith, Raymond Float, Tom Birley and Jane Pixley.

Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice and WDFB Christian Radio.

Cecil D. Davis

WAYNESBURG - Services for Cecil Doyle Davis, 73, of Stanford, formerly of Kings Mountain, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.

He died Wednesday at his home.

Born May 14, 1931, in Overton County, Tenn., he was the son of the late John and Eliza Allen Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Coleman Davis; four sons, Doyle and Joel Davis, both of Stanford, George Davis of Eubank and Greg Davis of Waynesburg; three daughters, Kim Phillips of Stanford, Judy Jenkins of Waynesburg and Nieta Taylor of Kings Mountain; a brother, Rufus Davis of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Clema Shea of Tennessee and Nancy Stevens of Eubank; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roscoe Taylor, Keith Jenkins, Robbie Phillips, Anthony Sims, Donnie Reynolds and Donald Stringer.

Visitation is 6 p.m. today.
