Car show set

HARRODSBURG - The Bluegrass Cruisers Car Club is hosting its annual car show 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today at Old Fort Harrod State Park.

A variety of unique cars will be located in the Old Fort Harrod picnic and playground area. Food, music and awards will be available. For more information, call (859) 734-9614.

Arts Passport events this week

* "Bay at the Moon," 8:30 p.m. through Saturday, Pioneer Playhouse.

* Ceol Cridhe, Irish music, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Weisiger Park. Part of the Whimsy in Weisiger concert series.

Junction City Railroad Days opens Thursday

The admission for the Junction City Railroad Days Festival is $2, which purchases a souvenir button that is good throughout the weekend; parking is free. Events throughout the weekend include arts and crafts, food booths, children's games, musical entertainment, a flea market and a model railroad exhibit.


Highlights of the 2004 Junction City Railroad Days Festival include:


5:30 p.m.: Bean supper, Junction City Elementary School cafeteria; $5/adults, $3/children 10 and younger.

7 p.m.: Auction.


4 p.m.: Model train layout, school gym.

8 p.m.: USWF Wrestling, Junction City Park ball field; music by bluegrass band Royal Blue.


11 a.m.: Festival parade; theme is "Heroes."

Noon-4 p.m.: Car show, park.

3 p.m.: Kids' contest, park.

7 p.m.: Tractor pull, park.

8 p.m.: Larry Sanders and Borderline, music, park.

10 p.m.: Fireworks.

Aug. 22

2 p.m.: Gospel music, park.

5:30 p.m.: Evening services.
