Danville home burglarized

Danville police are still investigating a burglary at a Danville home late last week in which several items and cash were taken.

The burglary at the 113 Rolling Hills residence of Steve Overstreet occurred about 3 p.m. Thursday, police said. Items taken included a Legend car stereo and remote and detachable face, Panasonic car stereo, Sony car stereo, an SKS rifle with attachments and an undisclosed amount of money. Force was not used to gain entry to the house.

Vehicle stolen from Casey residence

LIBERTY - Someone stole a 1999 Ford Expedition Saturday night from the residence of Gary Brown, 8086 E. Ky. 70, Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman said.


The Browns, who had been away from home for the weekend, discovered the vehicle was missing when they returned home Sunday evening, Coffman said.

Anyone with information about the vehicle may call the sheriff's office at (606) 787-6821.

Stolen weapon returned

LIBERTY - A pistol that was stolen Saturday night from a vehicle parked at the residence of Larry Price, 417 Fair St., has been returned.

Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman said no charges have been filed but he has a suspect.
