DUNNVILLE (AP) - A married couple from Ohio were killed Sunday when the motorcycle they were aboard collided with a van on U.S. 127 in Casey County, state police said.
Larry P. Lay, 44, and his wife, 33-year-old Denise L. Lay, 33, of Cincinnati, died when their motorcycle hit the passenger side fender of the van at 11:50 a.m., Trooper Jeremy Johnson said.
The couple were riding northbound on U.S. 127 when they encountered the van, traveling south, at a curve in the highway, Johnson said. Denise Lay was pronounced dead at the scene. Larry Lay, who was driving the 2003 Honda motorcycle, was pronounced dead at Casey County Hospital shortly after the crash.
The bodies were taken to Frankfort where autopsies were performed today.
Two people in the van, Douglas P. Tarter, 37, of Dunnville, and 7-year-old Kelsey Tarter, were not injured.
