William McAninch

STANFORD - William McAninch, 69, of Moccasin Road, died Saturday at his home.

Born April 30, 1935, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Pittman McAninch. He was a self-employed gate hauler and the widower of Shirley C. Hodge McAninch.

Survivors include a companion, Fredia Fletcher of Stanford; three sons, Joe McAninch of Waynesburg, Willie McAninch of Danville and Jerry McAninch of Stanford; five daughters, Violet Petula, Mary Kidd and Carolyn Burchfield, all of Stanford, and Sarah Phelps and Dolly Yocum, both of Waynesburg; two brothers, Bobby and Jerry McAninch, both of Casey County; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Danny R. McAninch.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Rick Naylor. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Richard Naylor, George Yocum, Shorty Gooch, David Burchfield, Ben Norman, Ray Phillips and Jimmy Gooch.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home.

Ella Steele

HARRODSBURG - Ella Steele, 81, died Sunday at Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Arrangements are incomplete at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home.

George E. Pittman

MORELAND - George Elvin Pittman, 84, died today at Stanford House nursing home. Arrangements are incomplete at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.


James K. Huffman Jr.

Services for James Kinnaird Huffman Jr., 57, of The Villages, Fla., formerly of Danville, are 3 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert G. Baker.

He died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Edwin E. King

HARRODSBURG - Services for Edwin E. King, 76, of Burgin Road, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Leonard Price and Jim Terry. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

He died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.

Pallbearers will be Roger King, Jerome King, Ricky King, Jimmy Howard, Will Browning and Charlie Baker. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Keller, James Ellis and John Tuggle.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.
