James Carmicle

STANFORD - James Carmicle, 44, of Casey County, died Tuesday in Oldham County. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Paul Morford

LANCASTER - Paul Morford, 66, of High Bridge Road, died today at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home.


Cora L. Coleman

Services for Cora Lee "Corky" Coleman, 80, of Country Lane, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Valentine. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

She died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Pallbearers will be David Sims, Ralph May, Gene Lawson, Dave Zippay, Bob Caswell, Bill Brinkley, Dickie Marks and Bob Trisler. Honorary pallbearers are members of Ruth Sunday School Class and Wilderness Shrine Club.


Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Stith Funeral Home.

Travis L. Lafferty

LANCASTER - Services for Travis Lee Lafferty, 46, of Sugar Creek Road, are private.

He died Monday at his home.

Born Oct. 26, 1957, in Fayette County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John R. and Betty Robertson Lafferty. He was a construction pipe fitter and a member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church and Lexington Pipe Fitters Union Local 669.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Farris Lafferty; a son, Christopher Lafferty of Beckley, W.Va.; a daughter, Leila Lafferty Wilhite of Huntington, W.Va.; a stepson, Alex Konz of Lancaster; five brothers, John Lafferty of Beckley, Joey Lafferty, Greg Lafferty and Jeff Lafferty, all of Oak Hill, W.Va., and Carlos Lafferty of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters, Becky Arrington of Oak Hill and Robin Strong of Columbus, Ga.

Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice, P.O. Box 1213, Danville 40423.

Spurlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Della I. Williams

WAYNESBURG - Services for Della Irene Williams, 91, of Louisa, will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Rob Cox. Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery.

She died Monday at her home.

Born Oct. 3, 1912, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Elias and Lucinda Goodman Greer. She was a former restaurant cook, homemaker, and member of Mount Moriah Christian Church. She was the widow of McClellan Jones and W.A. Williams.

Survivors include a son, William L. "Bill" Williams of Louisa; two daughters, Stella B. Singleton of Mount Orab, Ohio, and Carol S. Williams Hutton of Louisa; two sisters, Emma Patterson and Cordia Elliott, both of Stanford; an adopted granddaughter, Sara Patton of Louisa; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia I. Ryland.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.
