LIBERTY - A Casey County parent says her son has quit the high school football team after he and another student were sexually harassed. She claims the harassment occurred on a school bus trip to Morehead for a scrimmage on Saturday and again on Monday at practice.
She said she kept her son home from school on Tuesday, and when he returned on Wednesday he was verbally abused.
Superintendent Linda Hatter said the high school principal, assistant principal and football coaches are taking statements from all the people who were on the bus when the alleged incident occurred.
Hatter said one coach was on the bus with the players and one was on another bus. She said the bus trips are always chaperoned.
