Frankie Bowman

HARRODSBURG - Frankie Bowman, 75, of East Water Street, Burgin, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 28, 1928, in Burgin, she was the daughter of the late Warner and Dora Boggs Bartleson. She was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was on the kitchen committee. She was a retired employee of Hall Mack and Leggett Myers companies. She also was a senior companion for Mercer County Senior Citizen Center, a member of the Loyal Benevolent Society, Order of the Eastern Star and the Kentucky Club. She was the widow of William M. Bowman.

Survivors include six daughters, Patricia Jones and Joan Williams, both of Louisville, and Debra Thomas, Rhonda Bass, Priscilla D. Bryant and Wanda Craycraft, all of Burgin; three sons, James Dunn and Gregory Bowman, both of Burgin, and Ronald Bowman of Harrodsburg; a brother, Cecil Bartleson of Burgin; a sister, Mary Garner of Lexington; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.


Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Little Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Philip A. Yates. Burial will be in Robinson Roe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Norman, Truman, Randall and Charles Bartleson, Paul Williams, Pierre Smith, Alvin White and Ronnie Cloyd. Honorary pallbearers are Derrick Jones, Jermaine, Justin, Daricoe and Davron Bowman, and Paul Williams Jr.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John Russell

MORELAND - John Russell, 83, of Lexington, died Sunday at Northpoint Christian Health Center. Arrangements are incomplete at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

Wilma M. Wells

LANCASTER - Wilma Mae Wells, 79, of Harmon's Lick Road, mother of Claudia Peterson, died Sunday at her home.

Carolyn Winchester

LANCASTER - Carolyn Winchester, 59, of Kennedy Bridge Road, died today at her home. She was the wife of Johnny Winchester. Arrangements are incomplete at Ramsey Funeral Home.
