A Danville man was arrested Wednesday after he was caught fishing with a pole he allegedly stole from a residence an hour earlier, Boyle County Deputy Sheriff Brian Wofford said.
James Anderson, of Clifton Road, was charged with receiving stolen property, terroristic threatening and alcohol intoxication, and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center, Wofford said.
Jackie Pike, of Clifton Road, called deputies about 6:30 p.m.. and reported that someone had smashed out a window at his trailer and taken tools, food, appliances and fishing poles. About an hour later, Pike and Wofford found Anderson fishing at the campground on Clifton Road.
"He was actually fishing with one of the poles he had taken from this guy," Wofford said.
