Labor Day closings

Most federal, state, county and city offices will close Monday for the Labor Day holiday. The Advocate-Messenger will not publish Monday, but will resume publication Tuesday. Local closings include:

Boyle County

The Boyle County Courthouse, public works, recycling center and all convenience centers will be closed. They will reopen as usual Tuesday.

All Danville city offices will be closed. There will be no trash pickup on Monday, and the schedule will be behind one day the rest of the week.

Junction City Hall will be closed.

Casey County

Offices at the Casey County Courthouse and Judicial Center, Liberty City Hall and other government offices will close.

Casey Fiscal Court's regular meeting Monday also has been canceled.

The city garbage truck will run on its regular schedule Monday.

Mercer County


All Mercer County offices will be closed Monday.

All Harrodsburg city offices will be closed. There will be no trash pickup on Monday; trash service will run one day late the remainder of the week.

Lincoln County

All offices at the Lincoln County Courthouse will be closed Monday. Also, the circuit clerk's office, Stanford City Hall Hustonville City Hall and Crab Orchard City Hall will take the day off.

Garrard County

The Garrard County Courthouse and all its offices will be closed Monday, in addition to the Sheriff's Department and Circuit Clerk's office.

Lancaster City Hall will also be closed.
