Survivors include his wife, Stella Baker Eason; a daughter, Betty Jo Benedict of Johnson City, Tenn.; a grandson; and a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Donald E. Carey
HARRODSBURG - Donald Eugene "Cowboy" Carey, 59, died Friday at the Danville Centre For Health And Rehabilitation.
Born Dec. 1, 1944, in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Omer Herbert and Bessie Brim Carey. He was a farmer and attended the Shawnee Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include five brothers: William and Omer Carey of Harrodsburg, Lewis and Robert Carey of Burgin, and Thomas Carey of Garrard County; and a special friend, Barbara Price.
Services are 2 p.m. today at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Geoffrey Barrett. Burial will follow in Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Hank Judge, Paul Hensley, Danny Robinson, Michael Paul Hensley, Tom Carey and Brian Day.
Visitation is after 7 a.m. today.

LANCASTER - Mary K. Compton, 73, of Maple Avenue, died Friday at her home.
Born July 2, 1931, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Lu Emma McCulley.
Survivors include a brother, James McCulley of Lancaster.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryce McCulley. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Donnie and Jimmy McCulley, David Feldman, Ralph Parsons, Jerry Murphy and Doug Miller.
Honorary bearers will be David and Shelton Moss, Ben Reeves, Caywood Metcalf, Walter Caldwell and John Clark.

HARRODSBURG Bobby Lewis Stratton, 62, of Salvisa, died Saturday at his home.
Born Jan. 4, 1942, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Willie Preston and Eva Currens Stratton. He was a farmer and member of Ebenezer Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Dean Stratton; two daughters, Timi Bell and Angi Patton, both of Mercer County; six sisters, Mae Robinson and Frances Ellis, both of Denham Springs, La., Rebecca Clem of Salvisa, Kathleen Bowen of Harrodsburg, Lavenia Brammer of Danville and Jeanette Sullivan of Monroe, Ga.; three brothers, Arnett Stratton of Lexington, Lyle Stratton of Bowling Green and Sherman Stratton of Powder Springs, Ga.; three grandchildren; and a great grandson.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Kesel and Terry Morrison. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Salvisa.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Monday and prior to the funeral Tuesday.
Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice in Danville.

Services for Christine P. Johnson, 87, formerly of South Second Street, are 2 p.m. today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Mathis. Burial will follow Eubank Cemetery.
She died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born July 29, 1917, in Eubank, she was the daughter of the late Harlan Roscoe and Beulah McMullin Peck. She was the widow of Lawrence Johnson.
She was a former employee of Hub-Frankel and Farmers National Bank. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Broadway.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Orberson and Beverly Jordan, both of Danville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Kevin and Cory Jordan, Paul, Mike and Jeffery Orberson.
Memorials may go to First Baptist Church building fund.
LIBERTY - Services for Clyde Hendricks, 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio, are 2 p.m. today at Bartle Funeral Home by Caleb Stinson.
He died Thursday at Norwood Retirement Center.
Born June 3, 1934, in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late James and Emma Randolph Hendricks. He was a former employee of Keco Industries.
