I've been reading letters to the editor about responsibility, money, and pets. My dog found three small, pitiful, abandoned kittens by a headstone in the Burgin cemetery August 7. That's a good example of what happens when pets aren't spayed/neutered. Cemeteries are relatively isolated areas and headstones don't talk.
In Genesis 1, after God created every living creature, he saw they needed an overseer, so on day six, God created man for that purpose. In other words, he placed the responsibility of caretaker on man. Where certain of God's living creatures are concerned, surely He must be very ashamed of man.
Why is it one can so easily and quickly spend money on cigarettes, alcohol, pornography, CD's, cassette tapes, the sorriest movies, eat at nice restaurants, take great vacations, buy kids and grandkids a ridiculous amount of toys, etc., but never give spaying/neutering their pet a serious thought? Yet these same, thoughtless people will look you in the eye and tell you they love their pet! How easily duped they are.
