I recently watched the full coverage of the Republican National Convention. Trying to be fair, I watched it in order to try and find a way to give George W. Bush the benefit of the doubt. What a huge disappointment!
The highlight to me was the Sen. Zell Miller speech. A fanatical traitor to his own party, spewing forth such anger and venom, I have never heard the like before in any political convention in my life. I have watched them all, from the Kennedy-Nixon conventions to the present. Personally, I think the good senator is a fruit cake. I'm appalled that Bush and the Republicans allowed such hatred, anger, bitterness, and outright false accusations to highlight their convention. But more, I am dismayed and I am bewildered that George W. Bush did not apologize for the actions of Zell Miller. Not only did he not apologize, but he condoned it. To me this speaks volumes about Mr. Bush.
