Boyle County experimented with some new techniques and came out with a 25-14, 25-15 win over host Garrard County Tuesday at Lancaster.
The Rebels got six aces and four kills from Stephanie Slone, five kills from Meagan Lankford and three aces each from Holly Carter and Bruna Lozano.
"We were able to do some jump serves and practice some things we haven't used much," Boyle coach Dana Stigall said. "This was a good game to use some of those tools and create some higher-level skills."
Pulaski County 25-25, Casey County 20-17 - At Liberty, Casey lost in two games.
Bethany Snow had two kills, a block and a dink for Casey, while McKenzee Weddle had six sets, a kill and a dink. Kelli Patten added four blocks, Ellen Hogue had two kills and Tiffany Spaw had one set.
