HARRODSBURG - Garrard County overcame what its coach termed "lethargic" play to defeat Harrodsburg 5-0 Saturday.
Corey Horn had two goals and an assist to lead Garrard (10-1-1).
Jacob Denny scored his 25th goal of the season just seven minutes into the game to put Garrard on top early. Will Keeton followed with a goal in the 27th minute off a Pat Kluesener assist, and Horn rounded out the first-half scoring with a goal in the 30th minute off a Denny assist.
Horn scored again 15 minutes into the second half off a Micah Wade assist, and Will Stevens closed out the scoring on a goal in the 76th minute with an assist to Horn.
Garrard held a 39-7 shot advantage, including 25-2 after halftime.
"I thought we played very lethargic today," Garrard coach Jon Martin said. "We weren't really into the game."
Martin said he got strong play off the bench from Trey Smith, Brandon Brown and Cole Anderson.
