Horace M. Litton

Horace Melrose Litton, 87, of Shawnee Road, formerly of Florida, died today at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Aug. 29, 1917, in Danville, he was the son of the late Horace M. and Abigail Chambers Litton.

He was an engineer with Southern Railway and a member of First Baptist Church, Broadway, and Narve Railroad Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ailene Boone Litton; two sons, Curtis Litton of Sanford, Fla., and Gene Litton of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Barbara Litton Young of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Sadie Whitehouse Litton.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Izetta C. Galloway

MORELAND - Izetta Corene Galloway, 79, of Loris, S.C., formerly of Moreland, died Sunday in Loris.


Arrangements are incomplete at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

John Gartner

HARRODSBURG - John Gartner, 89, of Harlow Lane, died Saturday at Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

Born June 12, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Barna Gartner.

He was a retired employee of Shay's Trucking Co. in Dansville, N.Y.

He was a member of the volunteer fire department and Rotary Club in Dansville and had been a member of the Marine Reserves. He was a member of the Catholic church.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Edwards Gartner; a son, Denis Gartner of New Port Richey, Fla.; a daughter, Rita Bentley of Harrodsburg; four brothers, Joseph Gartner of Sarasota, Fla., Michael and Richard Gartner, both of Kingston, N.Y., and Edmond Gartner of Danville; three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Services were today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Joseph Muench. Burial was in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Mercer County.

Pallbearers were Doc McKinney, Tom Denny, Charlie McCrystal, Paul Enderle and Bill Huff.

Memorials may go to St. Nicholas Cemetery Fund.

Donald L. Hall

LANCASTER - Donald Lee Hall, 39, of Buckeye Road, died Saturday at his home.

Born Feb. 20, 1965, in Garrard County, he was the son of Charles Hall and Doris Estes Holman, both of Lancaster. He was a mechanic and a member of Drakes Creek Baptist Church.

Other survivors include a son, David L. Hall of Lancaster; and a half brother, Christopher Hall of West Liberty.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Sammy Glenn and Bill Graves. Burial will be in Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today.

Ada Long

LANCASTER - Ada Long, 68, of Paint Lick, wife of Homer Long, died today at Fort Logan Hospital. Arrangements are incomplete at Spurlin Funeral Home.


Lottie P. Collier

MORELAND - Services for Lottie Pendergraft Collier, 90, of Danville, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. G.W. Smith. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

She died Saturday at Charleston Health Care.

Pallbearers will be Darin, Jamie, Shaun and Kline Pendergraft, Anthony McCowan and Junie O'Brien.

Honorary pallbearers are Bob, John, Phillip and Billy Lange, David Ramsey and Mitch Lane.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today.
